How to create a new page:

To create a new page using the Shopify app, follow these steps:

1. Access your Shopify admin.
2. Navigate to Online Store > Pages.
3. Choose "Add page."
4. Provide a title and content for the new page.
5. Click "Save".

 

Link theme template to page

To link a page to a page template in Shopify, please follow these steps:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Pages.
2. Click on the page you’d like to assign to the template (or create a new page by selecting Add page).
3. On the right-hand side, look for the Template section.
4. Click the dropdown menu and select the page template you’d like to use from our theme.
5. Click Save.

*Please make sure our theme you’re working on is in a 'Published' state. If another theme is currently published, our page templates will not appear in the dropdown.

You can also consider putting your website behind a password page while you’re updating your new website so customers won’t see any changes during the setup process.

 

Create a page or product template:

To create a new page template in Shopify, please follow these steps:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
2. Click Customize on your published theme.
3. At the top of the theme editor, click the page selector dropdown (it may say Home page by default).
4. Select Pages from the dropdown options.
5. Click Create template.
6. Enter a name for your new template (for example: about, stockist, contact, etc.).
7. Choose which existing template you’d like to base it on.
8. Click Create template.
9. You can now customise this template by adding, removing, or rearranging sections to suit that specific page.
10. Click Save once you’re happy with the layout.

After this, go to Online Store → Pages, open your page, and assign this new template under the Theme template dropdown on the right-hand side.

 

Assign custom page templates to specific product

1. Open your Shopify editor.
2. In the top navigation dropdown, go to Products.
3. Click Create template to make a new product template.
4. Edit and customise the page.
5. Once created, return to your Shopify dashboard.
6. Go to Products and select the product you want to edit.
7. Scroll down to the Theme template section.
8. From the dropdown, choose the template you just created.
9. Save your changes.

Using default page template across multiple pages

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Pages
2. Click Add page (or open an existing page)
3. Add your Page title (e.g. Shipping Policy, Size Guide etc)
4. Add your Content in the content field
5. On the right-hand side, find Theme template and select a template from the dropdown ( For text heavy content such as policy pages, we recommend using the 'Default page' template. This keeps the layout simple and allows your content to display clearly with straightforward formatting.)

*All information shown on the page will pull directly from the page title and content you add here.

7. Click Save
8. Add the page to your navigation menu so it can be found on your website by going to your Shopify Dashboard > Content > Menu
   
9. Click the menu you want to edit or click Create menu to add a new menu.
10. Click Add menu item to add a new the page to your menu.
11. Enter a name for the item as it will appear in the menu and add the URL link on where you want it to land.

12. Click Add, then click Save.
